WARRINGTON Wolves’ Grand Final heartbreak continues.
It was 8-4 for 47 minutes in an absolute bruising battle of attrition but Wigan Warriors had the winning play in their ranks.
Josh Charnley crossed against his former club to open the scoring for The Wire.
Wigan hit back with tries from Dom Manfredi and Tom Davies to lead 8-4 at the break.
The second half remained scoreless until three minutes from time when a switch play by Sean O’Loughlin led to Manfredi squeezing past Tom Lineham to score in the corner.

Half backs tonight were embarrassing. Had no clue what to do other than kick the ball up in the air. Wigan’s defence once again was too good and we had no clue once again on how to break them down. Some of the players for me shouldn’t be at the club next year.

After fighting for our survival in Super league to this year reaching the Challenge Cup and Grand Final, I'd say Steve Price has had a rather good first season and can't wait to see what else he can do next year! @wolvesrl
