A HEARING into Tom Lineham's three-match penalty notice has been adjourned until next week.

The Wire will be appealing the grading, which if successful could mean the winger sitting out only one game.

Currently, the remainder of Lineham's season is on the line due to a high tackle - recorded as Grade C by the match review panel - on Wigan's Dom Manfredi at the DW Stadium on Friday.

Lineham was issued with a yellow-card for the challenge, an incident which changed the face of Friday's derby.

While the winger was off the field, Wigan scored three tries in six minutes to go from 8-6 to 26-6 and secure a victory that ensures Wolves can finish no higher than third on the Super 8s ladder.

As things stand, Lineham, who has scored 21 tries in 32 games this year, will miss Saturday's clash with St Helens, the following Friday's trip to Wakefield Trinity and the play-offs semi-final, which is likely to be away to Saints. Lineham would then become available again for the Grand Final, should The Wire be involved.

It leaves Wolves with a selection dilemma going forward.

With potential wing replacements Jack Johnson and Mitch Brown ruled out for the season with long-term injuries, Price is likely to have to switch a centre to the flank.

Bryson Goodwin, Ben Pomeroy and Ryan Atkins seem the most likely contenders.
