Well the lads take on the World Champions St Helens tonight at Knowsley Road and it proves to be a very important game for us if we are going to stay in the top six.

We'll be going into this game with a lot of youth and for the likes of Mithell who has only experianced 2 Super league appearances, he must really be looking forward to the challenge of playing against the best team in the league. These are the games that you want to play in when you are a youngster so i have no doubt that the young guys will be fired up. I think the big key will be the partnership of Lee Briers and Chris Bridge, they have shown this season what they can do when they are on the pitch together and there is no better time to get them back together then against St Helens. Its going to be a real battle in the forwards, Saints like to play fast in the middle of the field, but with the likes of Morley, Parker, Leikvol, Harison, Pickersgill and Mitchell up front i think we have the mobility to handle them. No doubt there will be a very good atmosphere at Knowsley Road tonight, there always is. I know has a team we haven't had much luck there but its a place that the players love to play, the thought of beating St Helens at Knowsley Road gives you such a buzz and i really hope the guys can do it.

Personally on the injury front, i dislocated my shoulder against Huddersfield. The fear was i could have broken my arm too but that wasn't the case. I am now waiting to have an operation to repair the damage. It is the shoulder i have had an operation on before but i have never dislocated it before so that is a good thing. I am gutted that i have to miss the last stage of the season but i realise its a tough game and injuries happen. Hopefully i will come back stronger next year.

I was gutted to see Salford go down this year, i really liked playing at the Willows, the pitch was always a great surface and it was a good local derby to be involved in. I also have some good friends at Salford and i was gutted that they may have to leave the club because of relegation. I hope that we can see a quick return for Salford back into Super League.

Speak soon, Woody.
