THE view from Bridge Foot in the town centre certainly looks a lot different these days.
This historic photograph is believed to have been taken in the mid to late 1950s of Bishop’s Wharf and was shared with the Warrington Guardian by Alan Garrity, of Reynolds Street, Latchford.
This gives a glimpse into what life was like in Warrington many decades ago and before cars dominated the heart of the town.
Does this photograph from the archives trigger any memories from years gone by?
Can you remember a time before traffic jams were a daily occurrence in Warrington and the majority of people travelled by foot?
If so we would love to hear your stories and memories about how Warrington has changed over the years.
