FIREFIGHTERS remain at the scene of a large barn fire on Delph Lane this morning, Friday.
Five fire engines from across Warrington and Greater Manchester were called to the scene shortly after 2am.
The barn, 250 bales of hay and a tractor are heavily involved in fire.
Crews used two main jets, a hose reel jet and two ground monitors to takle the flames.
Four horses in a stable were protected by firefighters as they cooled the stable with water.
The teams are continuing to drag out bales of hay and are damping down the affected area.
They are expected to remain at the scene all day to make sure there is no reignition.
The horses have since been removed from their stable with no reported injuries.
Two main jets are still in use.
Delph Lane is now fully closed due to the unsafe structure.
