LANES of the M62 were closed this morning after a vehicle caught fire.
Two lanes of the eastbound carriageway were shut at junction eight at Burtonwood due to the blaze.
Reports stated that smoking was billowing across the motorway following the fire at around 10.45am.
The vehicle's occupants were able to exit unharmed.
All lanes of the motorway were reopened shortly before 11.30am after the fire had been extinguished.
