COUNCILLORS will debate the proposals to close a high school at the council's executive meeting on Monday night.
As exclusively revealed in the Warrington Guardian last month, Clr Colin Froggatt has asked for proposals centring on Woolston High School and Padgate High School to be scrapped.
He believes experts should start again on proposals for the future of high schools because the review that singled out Woolston and Padgate was too narrow.
The meeting starts at 6.30pm in the Town Hall.
