MILK cartons are the latest household item that can now be recycle in Warrington.
The council has teamed up with Tetra Pak Ltd to launch a carton recycling team where paper-based drink cartons can now be taken to sites across the borough.
They will then be taken to a recycling mill where they can be used for products such as plasterboard lines, paper bags and envelopes.
Clr Bob Barr, executive member for planning, regneration and climate change, says: "The residents of Warrington have always responded well to the different recycling schemes we've implemented across the borough, but we've still got some tough targets to meet, both as a borough and as a nation.
"We're delighted that Tetra Pak and the carton industry is working in partnership with us to help increase recycling."
All cartons must be squashed before being put into the designated container. The following locations have carton recycling points: l Gateworth Community Recycling Centre, Barnard Street.
l Woolston Community Recycling Centre, off New Cut Lane.
l Burtonwood Community Centre Bring Site, Green Jones Brow.
l Hatton Arms Bring Site, Hatton Lane.
l Tesco Supermarket Bring Site, Winwick Road.
