A LORRY that came off Vista Road in the wet weather caused delays for motorists last week.

Traffic was diverted after the driver of the Tuffnells Parcel Express wagon lost control of his vehicle on the wet road last Thursday, July 26 at 3.30pm.

The lorry left the road near Makerfield Drive and ended up on a grassy verge after it collided with a signpost.

No other cars were involved in the accident.

A spokesman for Merseyside Police said: "The driver of the lorry was dealt with at the scene and did not require hospital treatment.

"Vista Road was closed for approximately one hour to remove the lorry."
