SEXUAL infection rates are continuing to rise in Warrington.
Latest figures for syphilis, gonorrhoea, herpes, warts and chalmydia show year on year increases since 2002.
UK rates have risen during the same period but have declined over the past year. Cheshire rates are still going up although the increases have slowed.
Gonorrhoea cases for Cheshire went from 311 in 2002 to 317 in 2006. Chlamydia cases went from 1,714 to 2,868 over the same period, and syphilis from 23 to 35.
