SPLASH down at your local swimming pool this summer - for free!
The Free Swim for Kids scheme runs from this Wednesday to September 4 for under 16s and under 18s in full time education.
Youngsters can take advantage of the swimming pools at the newly refurbished centres and swim as often as they like during their six weeks of freedom.
Clr Roy Smith, executive member for community services, said: "We want to make it clear to children and young people how important it is to stay fit and healthy - now and in the future.
"The free swimming offer demonstrates the council's commitment to promoting exercise as part of a healthy lifestyle no matter the cost to us."
Admission is on a first come, first served basis. Children under eight must be accompanied by an adult.
