Biography submitted by Zen Cohen.
Melting the blues with low down dirty grooves, Zen Cohen produce a sound like they are playing at the last whiskey bar, deep in the heart of a volcano on the brink of eruption. The ejecta is a mix of Hendrix, The Who, The Doors and Kings of Leon. This is saw dust and spit music at it's footstomping finest. And the lava wave this band are creating is well worth taking a ride on.
"With a distinct Hendrix and marked Muddy Waters and Zeppelin influence they have a unique, thrilling sound, full of soulful blues and out-and-out rock. Zen Cohen are now yet another of JRM's favourites, if you do anything good with the rest of the year, go and see them live - you will not be disappointed!"
Wired Magazine
"The song Doing 69 is the opener here and it sounds like the Cult filling stadiums around the world 20 years ago. In short once it’s in, it doesn’t stop and it’s all for the better for it. The vocals give the song a psychedelic feel which is enforced by a cool repetitive bass line. There’s a lot of talent in this band and for a three-piece they make one hell of a noise."
