A TREE cutting at a prominent home in Lymm has been described as "dreadful" and "green vandalism" by parish councillors.
The hedge around the house in Pepper Street, close to The Cross, was pruned at the weekend. Clr Ian Marks said the work was dreadful while Clr Bob Barr, chairman, called it green vandalism and said it "affected everyone living in Lymm".
Much of the debris from the work, which took place on Saturday, is still visible and parish councillors will complain to the borough council about it. A planning appeal is soon to be heard on the site with the owners looking to develop apartments on the site.
