VETERAN Warrington Wolves halfback Kurt Gidley has hung up his boots after a 16-year career in rugby league.
Gidley played his last game in the sport as the Wire beat Hull Kingston Rovers 46-24 at the Halliwell Jones Stadium yesterday, Saturday.
The 35-year-old kicked a goal as he rounded off his playing career.
Kurt said: "It will probably be emotional once I get into the sheds with the boys.
"I've had a great time throughout my career, at Newcastle and of course here.
"I've made memories for life and I'll certainly be back to Warrington to greet everyone again because I've made loads of good friends."
