A SLOW start has not deterred the creator of what is believed to be the first mobile cloakroom in the country.
Tom Edward's won a licence to park his cloakroom on Bridge Street near the junction with the Co-Op cash machine.
This was his first weekend of trade and after a slow Friday, business picked up on Saturday thanks to a set of lights to illuminate the van.
He said it probably wasn't' the best time of year' to start but was delayed setting up the venture as he got his finances together.
Mr Edwards, from Drake Close in Westbrook, is juggling the venture with his normal job as a barman and pub quiz master at The Village Hotel in Centre Park.
Future marketing plans including handing out flyers and possibly a My Space page.
