FOOTBALL legend Jack Crompton handed a trophy to Warrington IKEA after the store's side triumphed in a charity five-a-side tournament.
The former Manchester United star presented FC Swampblossom' with the award after their 2-0 victory over IKEA Manchester's Ashton Martin'.
The ex-goalkeeper and right hand man of the late, great, Sir Matt Busby had watched teams from both stores battle through to reach the final.
And it made for an edge of the seat showdown for co-workers who had come to Ashton Curzon FC to watch the games and help raise money for Willow Wood Hospice.
Adam Prescott led the winning team, comprising fellow Warringtonians Dave O'Brian, Craig Hall, Liam Walker and Kevin Brown.
Iain Williams, Warrington IKEA manager, talked about the passion the tournament had inspired at both stores.
He said: "Co-workers have really taken this to heart and been very serious about turning out with a professional attitude.
"Some even had their own kits done and everyone was committed to raise money through the day. We would both like to thank every one of them, and the people at Ashton Curzon FC who so kindly lent their facilities for the day."
Supporters were treated to face painting, a bouncy castle for kids and adults had their own penalty shoot out tournament.
Warrington IKEA will this year celebrate 20 years of successful trading and is still one of the Swedish furniture retailer's best performing stores.
