CLR Linda Dirir says that she is still pushing for the re-instigation of the number 31 bus through Penketh.
She told Penketh Parish Council that a former bus driver had came up with an alternative route.
The old service was withdrawn by Warrington Borough Transport because of a lack of passengers, though some older people relied on it to travel to Honiton Way.
