A ROUNDERS competition organised to help schoolchildren get to know their community support officers has been hailed a success.
The event was held at Culcheth High School and attended by more than 70 pupils from all the schools in the Culcheth Cluster'.
It was organised by Karen Rogers and her team of sports leaders, and supported by Culcheth and Glazebury Parish Council and East Warrington Neighbourhood Policing Unit.
"It was a great success and all the children had a great time," said CSO Phil Pickering. "It is an excellent way of meeting many children and their parents."
Twiss Green won the tournament with St Lewis' coming runners-up and Culcheth Primary School finishing third.
They were presented with trophies and medals by CSO Pickering and parish council leader Clr Paul Campbell.
