WALTON Lea Partnership has held its first 'Dig for Victory' lunch to help showcase its inspirational work.
The charity held the event at its Victorian walled garden site, off Chester Road, on June 21.
Visitors, beneficiaries, staff and volunteers enjoyed an afternoon of live music surrounded by the 'Dig for Victory' themed gardens, a specially commissioned memorabilia hut displaying letters, photographs, certificates, mementos of staff members' families, newspapers from back in the day and ammunition.
The gardens and memorabilia are open to the public and any groups that would like to visit during the summer seven days a week from 10am to 4pm.
