A DANGEROUS criminal is on the run.
Police are hunting gun criminal Craig Dodd days after he was released from Risley Prison.
The 35-year-old is wanted for breaking the terms of his release and breaching his licence.
Dodd was caged in August last year after being sentenced to two years for possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear and violence at Warrington Crown Court.
He was one of three men originally arrested during a dawn raid on a town centre bar.
But Dodd, formerly of Gough Avenue, Longford, only served 10 months and was back on the streets on June 8.
He is known to visit Orford and Great Sankey.
Detective Sergeant Paul Fitton, leading the investigation, said: "We urgently want to trace this man and want the public to assist us if they have any information.
"All calls on this matter will be treated in the strictest of confidence.
"He has breached the conditions of his licence, which has been revoked, and he is now being sought by Warrington officers."
Police have warned that under no circumstances should anyone approach or challenge Dodd.
The wanted man is 6ft tall with dark brown, shaven hair, and blue eyes.
He has numerous tattoos on each arm and when he was last seen he was clean shaven.
Since his release, detectives also believe Dodd has lost weight.
He has a history of violence and anyone who spots him should call police on 0845 458 0000 or 999.
Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
