SIX pubs look set to be converted into housing.
The Campaign for Real Ale (Camra) has discovered that the pubs were bought by new pub company London Town and put under the control of the firm's property development arm, Bankside Developments.
Bankside is a wholly owned subsidiary of London Town.
The pubs in question are: The Causeway in Wilderspool, The Cheshire Cheese in Latchford, The Comfortable Gill in Glazebury, The Cuerdley Cross in Cuerdley, The General Elliot in Croft, and The Railway in Heatley, near Lymm.
Mark Enderby, Camra's pub officer for north Cheshire, from Appleton, a computer manager at Daresbury Lab, who acquired the information from Warrington Borough Council's licensing records, said: "I suspect all of these are at risk."
A London Town spokesman said management were still deciding what to do with the pubs.
