A WOODEN jetty on the Manchester Ship Canal near Moore Nature Reserve caught fire this afternoon.
Firefighters from Warrington were called to the scene, just off Moore Lane, at around 2.10pm, where they discovered the structure was 'smouldering'.
The crew stood on the bankside and used a hose reel jet to put out the flames and luckily nobody was reported hurt.
