Disability Awareness Day marked the launch of 'We Are People Too' - poignant song by Leah Jones who has Down's Syndrome.
The 24-year-old, from Runcorn, is selling a CD of the track about her experiences, how people with the condition live their life and how people respond to them.
The aspiring songwriter works for Halton Speakout, a self-advocacy group.
Sue Jones, group mentor and Leah's mum, said: "We are very proud of Leah and her song and want it to get the recognition it deserves.
"The song has such a powerful message. It's a song about living and coping with a learning disability by someone who knows."
