VISITORS to Cobbs Infant and Nursery School in Appleton will enjoy a 'wonderful welcome' after a mosaic was installed at its entrance.
Youngsters, from nursery to year two, at the Wood Lane site created the pattern for the piece of art as part of their project 'What I love about Cobbs'.
After submitting drawings of wildlife, gardens and symbols, a design for it was created.
The Cobbs PTA funded the mosaic and commissioned an artist in St Ives in Cornwall to create it.
Assistant head teacher Sue Collins, who ran the project, said: "I am proud of the children for their hard work and creativity.
"We are grateful to the PTA for funding such a beautiful mosaic that we'll treasure for years to come.
"Our school is a happy and cheerful place and this mosaic is a wonderful way to welcome all who come to Cobbs."
