It's tough to get back into the routine of running but, with the Marathon on the horizon now, we really need to get down to some serious training.
Catherine being ill wiped out nearly two weeks, with just one run in between, where she thought she felt better. She obviously wasn't and ended up having anopther two days off work in bed.
She seems to be recovered now though, and we went for a test run yesterday. We decided it would be clever to ease back in, so just did two and a half miles. Catherine felt no ill effects so we're going to try four miles tonight. If that goes ok, we'll get back into our routine. We are just so keen that we don't rush back and then have to have another week off!
Whilst we've had the time off I've been doing lots of leg strengthening exercises in the gym, squats and hamstring curls, all injury prevention stuff. It's pretty mundane stuff and I have to admit getting back to running so I don't have to do as much of this stuff will be a big relief!
