ELDERLY residents at Gainsborough House care home have been treated to 'twiddlemuffs' by Whitley women's institute (WI).
Twenty kind-hearted Whitley WI members have been kept busy knitting the woolly 'hand muffs' and teddies.
'Twiddlemuffs' are designed to provide a 'stimulation activity for restless hands' for patients suffering from dementia.
They were made from materials donated by WI members before being handed out to residents at Gainsborough House care home, on Gainsborough Road, and Essendene Care Home in Barnton.
Both homes sent letters to the WI to thank members for their generosity.
