A 35-YEAR-OLD woman is inviting residents to a Stockton Heath fundraiser ahead of her first marathon.
Vikki Watt, from Lymm, is stepping up to take on the London Marathon on April 23 and is bidding to raise £1,800 for Asthma UK.
To help smash the fundraising target she will be hosting a charity meal at Stockton Heath restaurant Cardamon, on London Road, on February 2.
Vikki said: "This is my first marathon, although I have completed a few half marathons in the past.
"I run regularly as a way of keeping fit and have always really wanted to take part in the London Marathon, having applied several times via the ballot.
"Unfortunately, these applications were always unsuccessful, therefore, I made a list of several charities that I would like to raise money for.
"As an asthma sufferer since I was seven years old, Asthma UK stood out as an obvious choice.
"There are also several members of my family, including my husband, who also require inhalers on a regular basis, which is why I chose to apply to fundraise for them."
The event will include a raffle.
