Warrington South MP David Mowat spoke to elderly residents at Mulberry Court about the campaign
WARRINGTON South MP David Mowat met with elderly residents in Stockton Heath to learn about a campaign aimed at improving access to shops by increasing the amount of seating available.
He made his way to retirement property Mulberry Court, on Victoria Road, to speak to those concerned.
"I was delighted to meet some of the residents of Mulberry Court and learn about their Stand Up 4 Sitting Down campaign," he said.
"The social aspect of shopping means that older people are much more likely to visit shops in person rather than shopping online.
"Making shops and shopping areas friendly for older people is not about charity – it’s good business sense."
