SELFLESS youngsters at St Monica’s Catholic Primary School in Appleton put their best foot forward for the Pope’s official children’s charity.
Pupils raised more than £1,350 after walking around 12 laps of the school’s grounds, on St Monica’s Close, for Mission Together, which supports the physical, spiritual, and emotional wellbeing of kids around the world.
Head teacher Annette Norman said: “I know the families at this school are generous but they have surpassed themselves in their willingness to give to children.
“The charity themselves were so thrilled by such a huge donation – they visited the school to say a personal thank you to the children.”
