SELFLESS youngsters at Appleton Thorn Primary School have gone the extra mile to support Syrian child refugees faced with deteriorating living conditions.
The kids, aged from two to six, worked alongside Refugee Aid North West to assemble ‘hygiene packs’ at the school, on Arley Road, before they were sent to Greece.
Departing head teacher Craig Burgess said: “Children were really keen to help and are genuinely concerned that the children have been bombed out of their homes and are living in tents.
“I am particularly pleased that the children were willing to take part out of school hours.”
