A WALTON pub is ready to offer customers 'a new beer experience' after opening its own micro-brewery.
Today, November 3, The Stag at Walton, on Chester Road, will host an open night to celebrate the opening.
Landlord and brewer Stephen Hammersley said: "We have been working hard over the summer, practising our recipes and getting customer feedback.
"Now we are ready to launch our beers to all of Warrington.
"Warrington has some great breweries – we are not trying to compete with them.
"We just want to bring our customers a new beer experience.
"The pub is not planning to sell its beer anywhere else although they are hoping to be featured and some of Warrington's many beer festivals.
"Our brewery is very small, we can make 288 pints of beer in one day, which is more than enough for us.
"There's not much distance involved though – the beers' journey from brewery to glass is about 20 feet."
