DETERMINED campaigners will stage a protest against proposals to close nine of the town's libraries outside the Town Hall later today, Monday.
The Save Warrington's Libraries campaign continues to gather momentum, with many voicing their anger at the plans.
And campaigners have been urged to bring banners and signs to the protest to 'put pressure' on councillors ahead of the full council meeting.
The matter will also come before the chamber shortly after, with resident Nicola Baird set to ask Cllr Tony Higgins, executive board member for leisure, community and culture, a question on the issue.
She will ask: "In the light of the public outcry to LiveWire's consultation proposals, will the council confirm that they will direct LiveWire to come up with a completely new set of proposals that do not include the closure of Warrington's libraries?"
The protest is set to begin at 5.30pm, with the full council meeting beginning an hour later.
