TWO lucky Appleton residents have scooped £25,000 each after coming up trumps in the People's Postcode Lottery.
The winners, from Dudlow Green Road, won the Saturday Street Prize on September 3 after their postcode, WA4 5EQ, was drawn out as a winner.
Kate Price, 52, said she was stunned to win the prize and is already planning how to spend the money.
She added: "I was so shocked when I realised I had won, £25,000 is absolutely amazing and I'm just thrilled.
"I'm going to do lots of home refurbishments and get the drive done so it couldn't have come at a better time.
"I won with a neighbour so we're both going to take some of our other neighbours out for a big celebration so happy days."
The other resident was unavailable to receive their cheque on the day.
Danyl Johnson, People's Postcode Lottery Ambassador, said: "It was great to head over to Appleton and meet our lovely winners.
"They're taking some of their neighbours out for a celebration which is fantastic, congratulations."
More than £135 million has been raised to date by players of the charity lottery for at least 2000 charitable organisations across Great Britain and internationally.
