DANNY Tickle of Hull FC needs 12 points for a career total of 1,000 in club and representative matches.
The back row forward has scored 242 for Halifax Blue Sox, 572 Wigan Warriors, 84 Hull and 90 England A.
His 988 points consist of 52 tries and 392 goals, including four drop goals in 211 matches.
Tickle made his senior professional debut for Halifax as a substitute in a 36-22 Super League defeat at Leeds Rhinos on 9 June 2000.
He made two more substitute appearances before starting in the second row in a 20-12 defeat at Wigan Warriors on 13 August 2000.
After two years he moved to Wigan Warriors and made his debut for them in a 30-18 Super League home defeat of Wakefield Trinity Wildcats on 23 June 2002.
He moved to Hull FC for the start of this season, making his debut with three goals in a 10-10 engage Super League home draw against Catalans Dragons on 11 February.
