AN elderly homecare provider based in Lower Stretton has gained royal recognition for the second time in four months.
Home Instead Senior Care, which has its national office at Walnut Tree Business Centre, was among the 34 businesses to have earned the new Princess Royal Training Award.
Launched by City and Guilds this year, the awards honour employers who have created a 'lasting impact' by successfully linking their 'skills development needs to business performance'.
But it is not the first time the firm has been royally recognised this year.
In April, it received the Queen's Awards for Enterprise in recognition of the innovation its 'bespoke model' brought to the care sector.
Trevor and Sam Brocklebank established Home Instead in 2005 but the pair were keen to single out carers for the company's success.
"Receiving royal recognition with two awards in 2016 underlines our commitment to innovation and excellence in the care sector," said Trevor.
"We care about our clients and we care about our employees – commitment to training and development is an integral part of our mission as we look to recruit tomorrow's generation of caregivers to play their part in our mission."
Princess Royal Training Award recipients will be presented with awards at a ceremony at St James' Palace in London on November 24.
