THE next generation of gymnastics now have the facilities to hone their skills after two Olympic athletes descended on Warrington to officially open the centre.
Bronze medallist Sam Oldham and double-Olympian Hannah Whelan visited Warrington Gymnastics Club on Wharf Street Industrial Estate to celebrate the launch of the news gymnastics pits.
The club, which was previously based at Evans House, was granted planning permission in 2014 to transform the site into a facility fit for future Olympians.
The new venue includes a large gymnasium, changing rooms, office and storage space, toilets and a café and waiting area on the ground floor with a dance studio and viewing gallery and toilets on the first floor.
