A 24-HOUR sing-a-thon in Stockton Heath has been organised in aid of a two-year-old boy who needs to travel to the USA to undergo treatment for a brain tumour.
Sixpence Music Studio, on Walton Road, is calling on the public to turn up in their numbers for the event, which will start at 8am next Saturday, July 30.
Funds raised will go towards helping Theo Clennon, who lives in the town centre, and his family.
Theo was given just eight weeks to live when doctors discovered what was thought to be an inoperable brain tumour in April.
However, following a second opinion, the tumour was successfully removed.
The youngster has started five months of chemotherapy, which will be followed by proton beam therapy in the USA – but the family need to raise £200,000 in order to fund the treatment.
Around £30,000 was raised for Theo earlier this month when comedian Jason Manford brought his Summer Gala to the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
