Motorist detained following suspected hit and run in Bewsey
A DRIVER has been charged following a suspected hit and run in Bewsey leaving a cyclist in need of hospital treatment.
Officers were called to Froghall Lane at 11.30pm yesterday, Thursday, following the crash involving a car and a cyclist.
A 23-year-old man was taken to hospital but has since been discharged.
The 22-year-old motorist was later arrested on suspicion of driving without due care and attention and failing to stop following a collision.
She has since been charged with the offences and is expected to appear at Halton Magistrates' Court on June 8.
