FIRE crews were called to St Elphin's Park in the early hours of Friday after a car was deliberately set alight.
Cheshire Fire Service were called to Salisbury Street at 1.50am after a car was set on fire deliberately.
The blaze was out by the time the crew arrived but firefighters used a thermal imaging camera to check if it could reignite.
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call Cheshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800555111 quoting incident number 47 of April 15.
Crews were also called to what was thought to be a vehicle on fire on the M6 at 12.45am next to junctions 21 and 21a.
The blaze was later discovered to be an uncontrolled burn and a hose reel jet was used to bring the fire under control.
