A MANAGER has helped provide the Christmas spark at a French eatery in Stockton Heath.
Around 100,000 fairly lights and 8,500 baubles were put on display at 14 Le Bistrot Pierre restaurants by general manager David Hill on his journey across the country.
And last week he worked his magic at the Stockton Heath branch, on London Road, before the decorations were unveiled the next day.
This year is the first in the firm's 21-year history where all bistrots will be open on Christmas Day and tables are already 'selling out fast'.
Manager at the Stockton Heath restaurant Katie Salisbury said: "We love it when David visits our bistrot – the staff can't wait to come in the next day to see how he has worked his magic.
"All the decorations are really tasteful and the attention to detail is phenomenal, we always have compliments from our customers and have loyal groups coming back every year to make the most of the experience."
David said he put a lot of 'careful consideration' into the project and is confident his efforts will be warmly welcomed.
He added: "Each restaurant is individual, each scheme is unique and every decoration is assembled by hand.
"Nothing is bought pre-decorated which means a really high standard of work and attention to detail."
