A BEWSEY man carried out a double assault after his former partner came to his home to get her belongings, a court heard.
Janos Mark, 33, of Longshaw Street, appeared at Halton Magistrates' Court last Friday after admitting the two assaults on July 14.
The case had been adjourned from November 6 to allow a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
The court heard the defendant returned home to see his former partner, along with Jozfef Vago and Laszlo Bende, at the door before seeing red.
Prosecution barrister Alison Warburton said: "His former partner came to the UK to get her belongings.
"They knocked on the door but there was no answer. The defendant arrived and got out of his car and told them not to disturb his family.
"The defendant tried to pull Mr Vago out the car – he said he was chased around the car by the defendant.
"When he was pulled out of the vehicle by the defendant he said his jumper was ripped.
"He also had a scratch on his chest as a result of that.
"Mr Bende was punched by the defendant and kicked in the leg by him."
During a police interview Mark, who represented himself and had a Hungarian interpreter, admitted he dragged Mr Vago.
But the court was told Mark informed officers he used minimal force during the incident.
When asked if he would like to put anything forward to court he replied with 'no'.
And before sentencing, his mobile phone could be heard ringing before he was ordered to switch it off.
The magistrates labelled the offences as 'serious' but praised Mark for pleading guilty from the outset.
They said he 'saved the victims the distress and inconvenience' of coming to court.
Mark was ordered to pay a total of £760 in costs, including £75 to each of the victims.
