A DECISION on a planned £15,000 improvement to a footpath in Woolston Park South has been delayed until the end of January.
Parish councillors submitted a request to Warrington Borough Council’s East Neighbourhoods Board for funds to improve a footpath leading from Manchester Road through the park.
A decision on the bid was expected at the end of November but it will now not happen until January 27.
The cost of the project is estimated at between £10,000 and £15,000 and would allow the potential for the 150m path to be widen as part of a planned cycle route between Birchwood and Stockton Heath.
The bid is one of several competing for funding across East Warrington.
