A MUM-OF-TWO from Winwick has been inundated with praise for her first knitting book - sharing her expertise about how to craft the perfect pair of socks.
Lifelong-knitter Christine Perry, aged 46, has been receiving rave reviews for her how-to book titled Super Socks, which was published earlier this year.
Through her blog, titled Winwick Mum, Christine has set up a sockalong to bring together beginner sock knitters and guide them through the process.
Her latest book brings the blog tutorials together for the first time so that anyone can learn how to knit socks.
She said: "I have always enjoyed knitting but I soon realised that people saw socks as the Holy Grail of knitting.
"So I decided to break it down into easy steps so that anybody can learn how to make socks.
"It's hard to believe that so many people across the world share my passion not just for knitting socks, but are telling me every day how much they enjoy it and about the benefits to their emotional and physical wellbeing.
"There's something about going round and round - it's very hypnotic."
Christine will be hosting a three-week sock clinic at Black Sheep Wools in Culcheth at the end of January.
