JOIN the world's biggest human rights event this weekend.
The public are invited to join Warrington Amnesty Group for their annual greetings card event at Newchurch Parish Hall in Culcheth on Saturday between 11 am and 1.30 pm.
More than two million people around the world will be sending messages of support and solidarity to people imprisoned or whose lives are in danger for exercising their human rights.
One person is Yecenia Armenta in Mexico.
She was abducted and for 15 hours she was raped, beaten and tortured before finally confessing to a murder she didn't commit when threats were made against her children.
People who would prefer to write a letter or a card at home can e-mail the secretary of Warrington Amnesty Group Evelyn Kinsella on benkin64@talktalk.net.
