FORECASTERS are predicting gusts of 50 to 60mph this weekend but while you will definitely need your radiators on, it probably isn't the time to get your sledge out just yet.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning of wind for Warrington from 9pm tonight, Friday, to 3pm tomorrow, Saturday.
A 'swathe of gale force' north to northwesterly winds, accompanied by a band of rain and snow, is expected to move across the region.
A spokesman added: "Additionally, some of the snow may settle, this more likely over some of the high ground, for example in north Wales, but there is a possibility of temporary settling snow even at low levels.
"The worst affected areas may see a few cm but on current evidence, most places will see little if any lying snow.
"Please be aware of the likelihood of some difficult driving conditions and possible travel disruption."
