UNSUNG heroes in the business community have been recognised for their fundraising efforts by a youth charity.
Warrington Youth Club (WYC), which is based at the Peace Centre, presented businesses in the town with awards in recognition of the contribution they have made to the charity.
Three awards were dished out by Dave McNicholl, CEO of WYC and Andy Gatcliffe, chairman of the board, to honour those who have helped the charity to grow.
Mr McNicholl said: "These businesses and more have received a brick which is symbolic of the future they are helping WYC to build for children and young people in Warrington.
“The impact they have had on the lives of individual children and young people who have benefited from the programmes each of the businesses have supported.
"We look forward to presenting more awards to local businesses that have been supported of the organisation over the past year."
Styles & Co Accountants on Warrington Road in Culcheth received a silver patron award for their work raising funds to support the mentoring programme.
Vital cash has been raised through the company's involvement at a range of events and hosting a biannual golf day.
Jasper's, which has a base in Warrington, were awarded with the bronze patron award as a thank you for the many food donations.
The food catering company has also raised more than £2,000 to support WYC with running a Christmas meal for young people and their families.
Corks Out, which has a base in Stockton Heath, also received a bronze patron award for their long association with WYC.
The business have funded the Girls Group, supporting 45 young women from across Warrington in completing a personal development programme.
Each recipient received a certificate and an engraved glass award to thank them for everything they have done for the youth club.
