Cheshire Fire issue warning to keep windows and doors shut after firefighters tackle Birchwood blaze
FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze in Birchwood this afternoon
Eight fire crews attended the scene of AMEC Foster Wheeler on Faraday Street following reports of a blaze at 2.30pm.
Cheshire Fire cordoned the area off as they fought the fire, which has now been put out - high pressure fans are being used to clear heavy smokelogging.
Neighbouring properties and nearby residents have been advised to keep windows and doors shut as a precaution.
