FATHER Christmas will ride through the town centre on his sleigh this weekend before opening his grotto on Warrington Market.
Santa will be journeying through the town centre at 11am on Saturday November 21, making a stop at Market Gate before the grand opening of the grotto at the rear of Warrington Market at 11.30am.
The grotto, run by Warrington Disability Partnership, will be open every Saturday up until Christmas and also from December 21-23 between 10am-4pm.
WDP will also be hosting a tombola and Christmas shop on the market.
Co-founder Dave Thompson MBE said: “As we all know this is a very busy time of year for Santa – we are extremely lucky that he is taking time out of his packed schedule to help us raise money to promote independent living and social inclusion for disabled people in Warrington.
“We’ve worked very closely with Santa’s staff back at the North Pole to make sure all our gifts are high-quality and guaranteed to put a smile on every visitor’s face – no child leaves empty handed and all money raised from the £4 entry fee per child is spent maintaining our Warrington-based charitable services.
“Christmas is a time to count your blessings so on behalf of the WDP senior management team I’d personally like to say a heartfelt thank you to Warrington Market for once again hosting Santa and his grotto and to all our WDP helper who will be working very hard to make this Christmas a special one for families across the town.”
