A TEEN has been bailed as investigations continue into a stabbing outside the Maltings Pub in Old Hall on Sunday.
Police officers arrested a 17-year-old boy following reports a 26-year-old man had been stabbed on Bewsey Farm Close at 9.30pm.
He was taken to Aintree Hospital with injuries believed to be serious but he was treated and later discharged.
Hours earlier a second man was also rushed to hospital following a stabbing in Dallam.
A 26-year-old man was taken to Walton Hospital following the attack on Sunday on Longshaw Street.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 7.20pm following reports of a window being smashed.
Police allege the victim attempted to intervene and stop the suspects from damaging the property which belong to another member of the public.
It was during this time that he was assaulted with a metal bar.
The victim has been treated for a fractured jaw and a punctured wound to the back, police say.
Police were unable to confirm what has caused the puncture wound at this stage.
His injuries are said to be serious.
No arrests have been made at this stage but enquiries are ongoing.
