A MAN is now behind bars after admitting a series of child sex offences.
David Thackeray, of no fixed abode, was handed a six year sentence at Chester Crown Court on November 10 after pleading guilty to a string of assaults.
The 53-year-old admitted three counts of sexual assault against a female under 13 between May 1 and June 7.
He also pleaded guilty to two counts of making indecent photos of a child, one count of possessing indecent photos of child and one count of possessing prohibited photos of child.
Sentencing, Judge Raj Shetty ordered Thackeray to sign the sexual offences register for life and he must pay £1,020 in court costs and a victim surcharge.
A sexual harm prevention order was also imposed.
